Finally, we explore what happens in your child’s body – at a basic biological level – to make junk and processed food so desirable, and the psychology behind why kids will want more and more junk and processed foods. How did the Grab Bag Formula come about?

It’s no secret I’m a passionate home cook. It’s also well known that I’m obsessed with (and really good at) designing systems that save me  time, money and create the MOST amount of deliciousness and nutritional value possible.

Back when I had my first baby, I returned to my bustling naturopathic practice three days a week when she was only five weeks old. My husband was busy working 50-60 hour weeks, and with no family support, I needed a way to eat well after a busy workday. That's when Grab Bags became my lifesaver!

These days I have more time and working from home gives me a lot more flexibility with meal prep. But as my kids have gotten older, their sports training sessions have become later and longer, so we often don’t walk in the door until after 7.30pm. On those busy nights when everyone's tired and hangry, dinner needs to be ready the minute we get home so I've made meal prepping a fine art.

And that's how the Grab Bag Formula was (re)born!

Meet the creator of the Grab Bag Formula

I’m Georgia Harding, mum of two teenagers, a qualified naturopath of 20+ years, obsessed foodie and founder of Well Nourished Family. 

I’m all about real food and creating delicious, easy recipes for real life and optimal health. I created The Grab Bag Formula to help you eat well to be well for the long term. 

In a world with so much (mis)information about the ‘best’ things to eat, I want to simplify nutrition so you can nourish yourself and your family with confidence. These recipes are all tasty, easy to make and loaded with everything you need to feel good every day. You’ll also get a ton of practical tips to keep you motivated and inspired.

My recipes have been featured on JamieOliver.com, FoodMatters.com and I also contribute recipes to Wellbeing EatWell magazine.
